The Tension Skyrocketed

Question: Identify one source of conflict and tension between the USSR and the US around the 1950s. What caused this tension and why?

1. Nuclear Weapons Race & Conflict
1. The U.S. was the 1st to design, create, and implement the atomic bomb on Japan during WWII.
2. Because the U.S. was the 1st and only power to create and implement nuclear weapons, they were the only power that knew how to build and use such weapons.
3. The U.S. was trying to make peace in the world. Peace in their eyes at the time was being the only power to have nuclear weapons.
4. The USSR at the same time was making peace somewhat difficult.
5. With their communist dictator (insert name of dictator), their perspective on the world was entirely theirs for the taking and they had the “we deserve it all” mindset.
6. The U.S. and the USSR began to fight over “who deserved it all”.
7. When it seemed inevitable that the U.S. would keep a hold on nuclear weaponry, the USSR developed their first nuclear device code named, “First Lightning” and detonated it in a remote location in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan in 1949.
8. The U.S. did not approve of the USSR doing this and once they found out about their use of nuclear weapons the U.S. and the USSR were both in the race for power.
9. The tension between the two authorities then skyrocketed.

          I am not religious and neither is anyof my family nor will my kids be. I will not be christian and I will deffinentally not ever ever be pureatin there selfishsentered views. their avility to make everyone else into the other the things that you wwould never want to know of the things that live in thee sewers not ever seen let alown talked about or God forbid talked to. The Pureitans were the type of peope we kids in highschool like to call the cheerleaders the meaniest of the mean the most hard core of them all.
          I see this in the mary rowlenson, "captivity" naritive. where she never thought that when the Idiand gave her something good it was god coming through the Indians but I f the the Indians did something savage and unspeakable they they were the ones doing that not God he could never do such a thing to a real person a real  Puration. 
          The sineres in the hands of an angry god is a story I find some what repetietive. The preacher would not stop telling me that I was going to HELL and sorry that I an a nonbeliver fbut that doesn't meen that you or your god have anyright to throw me into hell or throw me anywhere for that matter(196)
           Now on the other hand they Indians did kill most of mARY"S FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND BURN DOWN JALMOST THE THE WHOLE TOWN SO i COULD SEE THE IDEA that they wouldd be savages(229) the way she was taked and they killed her family and not only that (gonna get graphic here ) they jcut open the "Bowls) of the desesed men they were absolutly savages in her eyes but why they didn't kill her she had no idaea(But the Zmurf does ;) see you all next week bye .)
